Atmos’ $12.5m Fundraise Makes Headlines in The News & Observer, TechCrunch, and More

Increased funding and widespread coverage accelerates our mission.

Atmos has recently been featured in outlets like TechCrunch, Charlotte Inno, WRAL TechWire, and The News & Observer following the close of our $12.5M Series A. These developments accelerate our mission of making custom home building more accessible and more streamlined.

“The latest funding round was led by Menlo Park, California-based Khosla Ventures. JLL Spark, Y Combinator and Sam Altman of OpenAI also reaffirmed their prior investments…Keller Williams, Duke Angel Network, Stephen Pagliuca, chairman of Bain Capital, and Dylan Field, Figma CEO, invested in the startup as well,” Charlotte Inno reports of the Series A funding round.

National inventory issues and continued high demand in North Carolina’s Charlotte and Triangle markets drive homebuyers to explore options outside of purchasing existing homes that fail to meet their needs. That’s where Atmos comes in: our software allows buyers to choose the lot, the home plan, and the amenities they truly want, all with the ease of an online platform that consolidates all the information they’ll need.

TechCrunch’s coverage details how the Atmos process works to consolidate relevant lot data alongside available home plans. “Atmos says its technology allows buyers to see “exactly what can be built on any specific lot depending on the size, shape and development requirements.” First, it assists buyers with getting a survey and soil test, and then designing a home based on their individual preferences. Once a builder is solidified, construction can begin.” This use of technology makes the custom build process easier for all involved, from buyers to land developers to real estate agents.

“At a time when people want to make every dollar count, we want homebuyers to know designing a home unique to them is possible with the help of Atmos,” Atmos co-founder and CEO Nicholas Donahue told WRAL TechWire

By combining new technology with an online platform that fosters direct partnerships between the various parties involved in a custom build, Atmos drives transparency and collaboration from start to finish. No more settling for cookie-cutter new builds that look the same as the other homes on the block, and no more buyer’s regret after purchasing a fixer-upper.

Whether you’re a land developer, a real estate agent, or a buyer looking for a new home that reflects your lifestyle and preferences, the technology you need is here and the supportive team at Atmos is ready to help. Learn more today!
