Grease those gears and pump up the tires - there's so much for bikers to enjoy in Charlotte!

Whether you're new in town or you're new to biking, checking out these three convenient trails is a must for bikers in the Queen City!

Four Mile Creek

Well-kept trails with alternating paved and boardwalk sections at Four Mile Creek Greenway provide the ideal outing for bikers in the city. Lush, green surroundings offer shade for a quick workout or a leisurely ride to enjoy a few wildlife sightings. Animals from frogs and ducks to deer and cranes are sighted frequently on this trail!

Final development of this greenway will include 11 miles of trail (there are currently 4 miles) and will connect neighborhoods, golf courses, and sports facilities. It’s already well-equipped with restrooms and even a bike repair station along the trail. For bikers who prefer to skip long drives out of town and love paved trails, this is the place to be!

Evergreen Nature Preserve

If paved trails aren’t up your alley, Evergreen Nature Preserve is a great option. Mountain bikers enjoy the quieter trails and wildlife sightings along the short trails in the preserve. While there aren’t steep climbs, the ride still provides a great workout in a beautiful setting! Enjoy the well-kept trails and a quick break from the city.

Little Sugar Creek Greenway

While still under development, Little Sugar Creek Greenway already attracts active Charlotte locals each day. Its proximity to the Uptown neighborhood and the integration of nature into the cityscape make it the perfect lunch break getaway or a simple afternoon ride.

Once it’s fully developed, the trail will offer over 19 miles connecting Toby Creek Greenway and Cordelia Park. Stunning views of the city mesh seamlessly with peaceful nature scenes. For bikers looking for an accessible, routine ride, this gorgeous greenway will be a fast favorite.

With countless reasons to move to Charlotte, buying a home there is a challenge of its own. Many are turning to homebuilding to avoid the competitive seller’s market.
