A healthy market has 180 days of inventory or about 6 months—right now Charlotte’s market has 15 days worth.
About 120 people move to Charlotte—mostly out-of-staters—every day.
There are a lot of corporations moving their headquarters to Charlotte so it’s going to stay relatively affordable with a lot of good jobs.
More transactions happen in the spring, with a rise in both inventory and demand meaning buying a home won’t get easier.
In Charlotte, “competitive offers” doesn’t necessarily mean insane prices, but most buyers end up putting in offers on 7 to 10 homes and the home they do finally win will likely have a few issues.
Houses only stay on the market for a matter of weeks, and inventory is down 37% year over year—a record low.
