Array neighborhood location

Learn more about Array, North Carolina’s first net-zero energy neighborhood

Our lifestyle choices now will dictate the state and health of our environment in the years to come. That’s why Atmos has partnered with Array to build North Carolina’s first 100% net-zero energy residential community. This project revolutionizes our opportunity to live in collaboration with the environment.

The Neighborhood

Array is located in Orange County and features 12 lots on 60 gorgeous acres. Conveniently close to Carrboro and Chapel Hill, this neighborhood off Orange Grove Road features plenty of outdoor space with a pond, a gathering place, a community garden, and a network of walking trails to enjoy.

Living in the Array neighborhood means choosing high energy efficiency and excellent indoor air quality standards, protecting the health of the environment and your family with innovative energy solutions.

The Homes

The homes in Array are not only energy-efficient but are also luxurious and personalized. Array’s building standards allow for only the best home models and the smartest blueprints. All building practices meet National Green Building Standards.

After they’ve been custom designed and built, energy monitoring will take place for each home. Each year, Array will provide community reporting in order to understand real-time energy use and continuously improve sustainable living practices.

The Process

While many people have tried custom homebuilding in the past only to be overwhelmed by the process or disappointed in the results, these high-performance homes are designed and built alongside Atmos. Homebuyers will choose between five unique floorplans before diving in with Atmos to customize that plan and add any custom amenities.

Throughout the entire process, a dedicated project manager will be at your side to keep the design and build of your home on time and within budget while you stay informed through drone footage, 3D walkthroughs, and more. Every home will receive a third-party inspection at two separate points during the build process, and each home comes with a warranty for your peace of mind.
